WEG is once again present in these projects, by providing large induction and synchronous motors for Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), India's largest hydraulic pump manufacturer, which couples these motors in their high-capacity pumps.

For this phase of the process (HNSS Pumping station 0 to 8) WEG provided 108 synchronous motors, vertical application, power ranging from 3200KW to 5000KW, 11kV voltage, frame SEA1000, which will be coupled to KBL vertical turbines series.

About the Project:

The H.N.S.S. (Handri Neeva Sujalam Sufalam) Project is considered one of the largest irrigation projects in the world and the main objective is to provide the dry fields with fertile conditions 2,438 km², in the four districts of Rayalaseema and supply of drinking water to about 3.3 million people, utilizing 40 TMC of floodwater from the Krishna River. This floodwater will be drawn from the foreshore of Srisailam reservoir. The water will be drawn during the 120 flood days from August to November. This project involves lifting of water in nine stages.
