The Leadership Academy has officially started at WEG Portugal. This is a structured program aimed at developing managers and talents within the company. The initiative seeks to strengthen the culture of knowledge and prepare future leaders, ensuring the organization is aligned with the demands of the global market.
The project includes two main programs:
Manager Development Program (MDP) – Launched on February 13, it focuses on improving leadership skills, people and process management for the company’s managers. Topics covered include communication, emotional intelligence, financial management, diversity and inclusion, among others.
Talent Development Program (TDP) – Started on March 13, it focuses on training high-potential employees, preparing them for future challenges and covering topics such as career management, teamwork, and organizational culture.
The creation of the Leadership Academy arises from the need to strengthen and develop the company’s internal managers and talents, aligning with the WEG Group’s global strategy. The company recognizes that investing in the continuous development of its people contributes to a more collaborative and innovative work environment, while also increasing organizational competitiveness.
In this first phase, 39 managers and 21 talents will take part in the programs, directly impacting the company’s culture and performance. The initiative is expected to reinforce WEG’s values, improve internal communication, promote effective conflict resolution, and prepare professionals for future challenges. The project foresees an annual edition for new talents and a biennial edition for managers, ensuring a continuous cycle of development and innovation.
With this initiative, WEG Portugal reaffirms its commitment to the training and growth of its People, preparing the organization for the challenges of an increasingly dynamic and competitive market.
