WEG supplies electrical and automation solutions from panel and frequency drives to the high duty cycle motors to drive railway dumpers which are used for the movement of ore, coal, grain and other products.
Low and medium voltage switchgear and controlgear
All the switch board panels and MCCs are manufactured and tested according to the NBR standards IEC 62271-200, NBR IEC 60439-1, NR10 and IEC 60947 for start coordination. As required by the mining sector, they have been designed for easy assembly, installation and maintenance even in the field. The design allows for future expansions and interchangeability between drawers of the same size and function. For low voltage MCCs there is the option of equipment resistant to internal arcing in accordance with IEC 61641.
Motors to meet the options of loads and starts
WEG has a range of motors to drive rail dumpers suitable for mining applications. All motors offer a degree of protection for operations where there is an accumulation of ore and fresh or salty water. They also comply with different duty cycles meeting the power and torque demands for each position of the car in all operation cycles. The motors are designed for an extended life cycle and simple maintenance.
