Electric mobility is expanding globally and requires increasingly well-prepared operational areas. Beyond charging infrastructure, the organization, visual identification, and durability of spaces dedicated to electric vehicle charging play a fundamental role in user experience and operational efficiency.
The project was carried out with the participation of MepCharge, a company specialized in electric mobility solutions and responsible for implementing the charging infrastructure. Complementing this initiative, WEG Coatings contributed with coating systems applied to the operational area, enhancing surface protection, system durability, and the overall visual organization of the environment.
In this scenario, charging infrastructure goes beyond the installation of equipment. It also includes how the space is prepared, identified, and used on a daily basis, ensuring intuitive, safe, and continuous operation.
In Brazil, the Sinuelo Service Station Network, an initiative of the Molon Family, has been following this trend by implementing dedicated charging areas at locations along major highways. One example can be found at the Sinuelo Service Station on BR-101, km 71, where the area was designed to integrate technology and space organization.
In this application, WEG Coatings' contribution focused on the preparation and protection of the operational area through a coating system developed to withstand the usage conditions associated with electric vehicle charging spaces.
The area preparation included a coating system consisting of Epoxy Sealer HSS 301, responsible for sealing and preparing the substrate, followed by a Polyurethane HBA 501 topcoat, developed to withstand heavy traffic, weather exposure, and maintain its appearance over time.
The choice of the color green, already well established as a symbol of electric mobility, contributes to the immediate identification of charging spaces and helps guide users, making the area more intuitive and organized.
More than simple marking, the project represents an investment in durability, reduced maintenance requirements, and long-term asset value, factors that directly impact operational efficiency and the perceived quality of the environment.
While charging stations enable vehicle charging, proper space organization ensures that the infrastructure is used correctly, safely, and efficiently on a daily basis.
This project demonstrates how WEG Coatings systems contribute to the expansion of electric mobility by providing visual organization, traffic resistance, durability, and reduced maintenance requirements in areas dedicated to electric vehicle charging.
