WEG is expanding its international presence in the hydroelectric generation sector with the supply of two large hydrogenerators for a new power plant in Türkiye. The equipment was manufactured at WEG India’s unit in Hosur and includes an SPW model hydrogenerator, frame 1800, 27,059 kVA, 11,000 V, 18 poles, 50 Hz, as well as an SPD model hydrogenerator, frame 1000, 6,059 kVA, 11,000 V, 10 poles, 50 Hz.

Designed to ensure high performance and reliability, the hydrogenerators will be applied in Francis turbines, configured for efficient conversion of hydraulic energy into electrical energy. After installation, the equipment will operate synchronized to the regional grid, helping expand renewable generation capacity and strengthening local energy stability.

The direct supply from the Hosur factory reinforces WEG’s global presence and highlights the company’s ability to support strategic projects across different markets by delivering robust solutions with high efficiency and specialized technical support.
