About this Product

Description

WEG meters were developed using innovative measurement technology, providing a safe and highly accurate measurement throughout the operating range. The quality level is ensured through the control of the entire manufacturing process, from the conception, development, tooling manufacturing, electronic board assembly to the manufacturing of the plastic parts of the meters.

The modular design of the meter allows flexibility of the communication technology, making it possible to integrate different market technologies and adapt to future requirements and standards.

Main Features

  • Compliance with module 8 (power quality) with a focus on:
    • Voltage variations in steady-state and short-term (DRP and DRC - REN871)
    • Power factor
    • Harmonic distortions
    • Voltage imbalance
    • Voltage fluctuation
    • Measurement in all 4 quadrants
    • Class D accuracy (0.2%) or Class C accuracy (0.5%)
    • Up to 4 available tariff rates
    • Measurement of neutral current
    • Ethernet interface
    • Integrated mass memory for recording more than 60 days of information if configured with 5-minute intervals
    • Flexibility to configure the displayed data
    • Security mechanisms to ensure confidentiality and integrity, based on data authentication and encryption

Communication

  • Ready to use Communication Module (NIC).
  • Hot insertion (no need to disconnect the meter).

Local Configuration Software

The SMW-Read is the software for local configuration, maintenance, and on-site reading of WEG meters.

The SMW3000i is a dedicated application for viewing selected power quality information, functioning as an extension of the meter's display.
