WEG was responsible for carrying out the minor overhaul (preventive maintenance or corrective maintenance focused on specific components, without requiring complete equipment disassembly) of Veracel’s turbogenerator, located in Eunápolis/BA, one of the world’s largest pulp producers, during the company’s 2026 general maintenance shutdown. WEG’s involvement in highly complex services for critical equipment reinforces its position as a strategic partner for the pulp and paper industry. 

Performed under rigorous planning and aligned with the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance, the project aimed to ensure maximum reliability of the turbogenerator, an essential piece of equipment for the plant’s energy generation and operational stability. The minor overhaul represents a strategic stage in the equipment life cycle, contributing to increased availability, energy efficiency, and operational lifespan. 

During the execution of the services, WEG mobilized specialized teams and applied proven maintenance methodologies, carrying out comprehensive technical inspections, adjustments, verifications of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as evaluations of the equipment’s operational conditions. The work was conducted with a focus on asset integrity and the safe continuity of the plant’s operations.
