WEG, together with Volvo Cars, a brand represented by Grupo Gildemeister in Peru, reaffirms its leadership in sustainable mobility by establishing a new strategic alliance with WEG, incorporating charging stations for electric vehicles. This collaboration reflects the brand’s strong commitment to continue promoting the use of electrified vehicles and facilitating their adoption in the country.
The installation of these stations is part of Volvo’s ongoing efforts to promote a more accessible and efficient electromobility ecosystem, providing its customers not only with cutting-edge vehicles but also with the necessary infrastructure for their operation. With this initiative, the brand reinforces its vision of a sustainable future, where innovation and environmental care go hand in hand.
The selected chargers, supplied by WEG Peru, belong to the Wall Green+ line and are manufactured with 50% recycled resin from post-consumer materials (PCR), which helps reduce CO₂ emissions per unit produced. Additionally, this process reduces electricity consumption by 42% during production. At the end of their useful life, the devices are 100% recyclable, ensuring a high standard of quality, durability, and safety.
“Volvo remains committed to a cleaner and more responsible future. This alliance with WEG allows us to continue building a stronger electromobility ecosystem, providing concrete solutions that facilitate the transition to electric mobility in the country”, stated Alejandro Ruiz de Somocurcio, Business Manager for Premium Brands at Gildemeister.
With this initiative, Volvo Peru and WEG take a new step toward their sustainability goal, supporting the national energy transition and offering their customers a comprehensive experience that combines technology, efficiency, and environmental commitment.
