WEG continues to expand its presence in the Oil & Gas segment with another high‑impact technological supply: four W60 motors, frame 14406, 8,700 kW, 13,200 V, IC666, 4 poles, and 60 Hz. Three of these motors are intended for immediate operation, while one will be maintained as a strategic spare. The equipment will drive compressors at one of the world’s largest natural gas liquefaction facilities, located in Texas, United States, an energy hub recognized for its privileged access to vast natural gas reserves and installed capacity to develop up to 10 liquefaction trains.
This supply represents another step forward in WEG’s relationship with a major global customer, recognized for manufacturing and commercializing industrial solutions used in more than 180 countries, ranging from compressors and vacuum systems to tools, generators, and construction equipment.
For WEG, this delivery reinforces the trust built over the years and consolidates the company’s presence in large‑scale applications within the sector. For the customer, it represents a robust and reliable solution, tailor‑made to ensure efficiency and high performance in a global‑scale industrial process. With the new motors entering operation, the customer will benefit from greater stability, operational safety, and energy efficiency in a plant preparing to become one of the largest natural gas liquefaction facilities in the world.
The project highlights WEG’s capability to deliver customized, high‑performance solutions, keeping pace with the technological evolution of the sector and directly contributing to critical operations that drive the global energy chain.
