WEG officially launched its global positioning on the topic of energy transition: THE WORLD ASKS. WEG DELIVERS. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to the energy transition through solutions and technologies that make the future more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable.
The positioning is structured around four strategic pillars: energy efficiency, operational efficiency, renewable energies, and electric mobility. Through them, WEG demonstrates that it is ready to meet the world’s demand for transformation, balancing economic growth, environmental awareness, and technological innovation.
This positioning also reinforces the company’s global sustainability goals, such as reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 52% by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality (Net-Zero) by 2050. In 2024, WEG received the Gold Medal from Ecovadis, one of the world’s leading agencies in corporate sustainability and management ratings. In 2025, the company had its short-term targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), including the reduction of absolute emissions in its operations and the challenge of mitigating Scope 3 emissions related to its value chain and products, in line with the best global decarbonization practices.
“For WEG, the energy transition is more than a global trend. We support this movement with an integrated strategy that combines energy efficiency, operational efficiency, renewable energies, and electric mobility. We operate across the entire chain, from generation to consumption, with solutions that accelerate decarbonization and drive a more sustainable, technological, and accessible future,” emphasizes Daniel Godinho, WEG’s Director of Sustainability and Institutional Relations.
By bringing together technology, innovation, and social-environmental responsibility, WEG reaffirms its purpose of developing solutions that foster sustainable growth, contribute to decarbonization, and strengthen the trust of customers, partners, and investors around the world.
