Juliano Saldanha Vargas holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM) with specialization in four areas: Production Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC); in Rotating Electric Machines from the Fundação Educacional Regional Jorgensen (FERJ); in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and specialization in Strategic Management from Terry College Business at the University of Georgia (USA). Furthermore, in 2022, he attended the Executive Development Program (EDP) at the Kellogg School of Management in the USA.
His career at WEG began in 1998 in the product control section and remained until 2003, later moving to the quality planning section, global processes WIS project, and quality control section. In 2009, he started in the technical assistance department and remained until 2012, when he assumed the position of vice president of operations in the United States. In 2015, he held the position of managing director at Zest, a WEG manufacturing site in South Africa. Still in the country, in 2019, the executive became superintendent director and, in 2022, he took over the current human resources board.
