MATERIALITY

WEG applies the materiality process every two years and has recently completed its 4th analysis cycle. thus, it brought up an updated view of the topics that impact the management and consequently its ESG report.

To identify the material subjects, the following steps were taken:

  • definition of scope and stakeholders
  • assessment of subjects to be filtered
  • subject filter
  • consultation to prioritize subjects with the stakeholders

  • suppliers
  • local community and organized civil society
  • trade associations
Validation of subjects with top management:

Result

Six material ESG subjects were defined for WEG, namely:

  • greenhouse gas emissions
  • health, safety and well-being
  • diversity and inclusion
  • sustainable products
  • development and qualification of sustainable suppliers
  • sustainable growth of the communities
