WEG stood out at the 3rd Paint & Pintura Innovation & Sustainability Award, held last Thursday (17) in São Paulo, Brazil. The company was recognized for three award-winning cases in the Coatings segment, covering initiatives in liquid coatings innovation, powder coatings innovation and sustainability.
The recognitions highlight different areas of WEG’s activities and reflect the development of solutions designed to address industrial challenges, combining technology, performance, efficiency and sustainability.
Among the recognized cases is AEROLON®: A thermal insulation and anticorrosive protection system that combines performance and innovation in a single solution, in the liquid coatings segment. The solution combines thermal insulation and corrosion protection in a single coating system, designed for industrial applications that require protection and performance.
In the powder coatings segment, the recognized case was POLITHERM ULB: New Generation in Powder Coatings – Lower Cure, Greater Results. The technology was developed with a focus on reducing curing temperature, contributing to greater process efficiency and expanding the application possibilities of powder coatings.
Completing the three recognitions is the sustainability case “A Project that transforms the electrical infrastructure of a WEG plant in Argentina into a strategic business asset, connecting efficiency, sustainability, and value creation.” The initiative presents the use of clean energy as part of the business strategy, connecting sustainability, efficiency and value creation.
The three cases demonstrate different paths for innovation in the Coatings segment. From the development of new coating technologies to advances in painting processes and initiatives related to sustainability, the recognized solutions reflect WEG’s commitment to responding to the transformations and needs of the industrial sector.
The Paint & Pintura Innovation & Sustainability Award is an initiative by Agnelo Editora, publisher of Paint & Pintura magazine, created to recognize and celebrate innovations in the coatings market, as well as initiatives related to sustainability, renewable raw materials, circular economy and ESG. The award brings together companies and professionals from different markets across Latin America.
For WEG, the recognition reinforces the importance of continuously developing technologies and solutions capable of keeping pace with the demands of an increasingly challenging market.
The ceremony was attended by Daniela Sartori, Operations Director; Eder Dirceu Dela Justina, Technical Manager of Liquid Coatings; and Ivonei Vavassori, Powder Coatings Manager, representing WEG at the event.
Held at Espaço Infinitto in São Paulo, the 3rd Paint & Pintura Innovation & Sustainability Award brought together representatives from the coatings industry and suppliers across the sector.
