Alberto Kuba, CEO of WEG, was one of the honorees at the 2025 edition of the Forbes Best CEOs in Brazil Award, held this Tuesday (14) at the Palácio Tangará in São Paulo. The ceremony brought together leaders from various sectors to recognize executives who have excelled in management, innovation, and contribution to the country’s economic development.

Alberto Kuba took over as CEO in 2024, succeeding Harry Schmelzer Jr. after 16 years of leadership. Having been shaped by WEG’s own culture, he began his journey as an intern in 2001 and has since held several positions in Brazil and abroad, including a decade in China and a year in the United States.

“Being recognized by Forbes as one of the top 10 CEOs in Brazil is an honor I share with the entire WEG team. This milestone celebrates not only my personal journey but also the vision of our founders — Werner, Eggon, and Geraldo — who dreamed of taking WEG to the top and inspired us to build together. I am the result of a management model that values executive development, a culture of excellence, and, above all, people. This recognition is, in fact, a tribute to the WEG team, who believe, deliver, and turn this dream into reality every single day”, emphasizes Alberto Kuba, CEO of WEG.

The recognition by Forbes reinforces the relevance of WEG’s growth strategy and Alberto Kuba’s leadership at the head of the company.
