WEG demonstrates its position at the forefront of technology by becoming one of the key technology providers at Oracle’s new Innovation Center in São Paulo.

The Center operates as a living laboratory, demonstrating how the integrated application of artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, automation, and the Internet of Things (IoT) can transform businesses and industries within an environment that simulates real-world operations.

With more than six decades of innovation-driven growth, WEG reaffirms its commitment to the future by contributing advanced industrial automation and AI solutions to this initiative. The company also uses Intel® Quad Core processors and the Intel® OpenVINO™ platform to accelerate workloads and optimize performance in high-efficiency industrial applications.

Among the WEG technologies on display are an autonomous robot for internal logistics; computer vision systems; smart sensors (currently being deployed); and asset management software for monitoring rotating machines and equipment such as frequency converters and soft starters.

According to Carlos José Bastos Grillo, Executive Director of Digital and Systems at WEG, these state-of-the-art solutions demonstrate how Brazilian industry can lead the global digital transformation. “Being part of this project with Oracle shows that WEG is fully aligned with the future. We are leaders in the use of artificial intelligence to drive efficiency and competitiveness across multiple sectors, both in Brazil and abroad”, says Grillo.

By combining Oracle technologies with an ecosystem of more than 30 strategic partners, the Oracle Innovation Center offers an intelligent and integrated view of the future. It is Oracle’s first hub of this kind in Latin America, delivering practical solutions for companies across multiple sectors, ranging from robotic dogs, drones, and autonomous mobile robots to intelligent retail environments. Many of these systems are integrated with or enhanced by WEG technologies.

“With WEG, the Oracle Innovation Center becomes even stronger by showing how technology can transform industrial operations end to end. This alliance represents the union of two global leaders sharing the vision of delivering efficiency, intelligence, and competitiveness to companies in Brazil and around the world”, said Fabio Martins, Director of the Oracle Innovation Center.

The collaboration between Oracle and WEG highlights how global innovators are accelerating digitalization and industrial efficiency.

“Our presence at the Oracle Innovation Center is a clear example of how innovation goes beyond machines — it empowers people to focus on what truly matters, providing tools that enable smarter and more strategic decision-making”, adds Grillo.

This initiative also reinforces Brazil’s growing leadership in delivering world-class technology, driven by companies with strong capabilities in research, development, and continuous innovation.

Digital and Systems as Strategic Pillars of the Future

In recent years, WEG has made significant investments in technology centers, partnerships with startups and universities, and talent development in data science, software engineering, and automation.

This strategy supports WEG’s evolution toward becoming a global leader in digital industrial solutions, integrating hardware, software, and services across sectors such as energy, pulp and paper, mining, water and sanitation, and oil and gas.

Through this approach, WEG not only expands its portfolio but also strengthens its ability to anticipate trends, deliver end-to-end solutions, and lead the digitalization of global industry.
