Fernando Borges

Global Logistics and Procurement Director

Fernando Borges holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), with a specialization in Production Engineering from the same institution. He also earned an MBA in Business Planning and Management from FAE Business School in Paraná and has a technical degree in Mechanics from the Federal Technical School of São Paulo.

He began his career at the WEG in 2007 as an Engineering Trainee and held several leadership positions, as process analyst and head of process engineering, industrial manager in China, and industrial director of Motors, with the purchasing area incorporated under his leadership in 2019.

In 2023, he became operations director at Changzhou, in China, overseeing both industrial and purchasing operations in the country. Since 2025, he has held the position of global director of logistics and procurement at WEG.
