WEG has strengthened its presence in the Turkish mining market through the delivery of an integrated medium voltage (MV) solution for an OEM operating in the mining segment. The commercial operation was conducted by WEG Türkiye, reinforcing the company’s strong local presence combined with its global industrial and logistics structure.
The supply includes a complete MV package for a ball mill application, combining one W60 motor and one MVW3000 drive. The solution was developed as a full-package supply, offering the customer the advantage of dealing with a single global supplier for both motor and drive.
The MVW3000 drive was manufactured at WEG’s manufacturing site in China, ensuring competitive cost structure and logistical efficiency, while the W60 motor was manufactured in Brazil, demonstrating the company’s ability to integrate production, engineering, logistics, and commercial operations across different regions to deliver optimized solutions worldwide.
This project reinforces WEG’s strategy of offering complete MV packages, combining motors and drives as a single integrated solution. For the customer, the benefit lies in technical integration, simplified engineering, operational reliability, and commercial advantages derived from WEG’s global footprint and optimized supply chain.
The OEM is an existing WEG customer and already operates WEG MV drives in its applications, maintaining a strong technical and commercial relationship with the company. The project was also supported by close collaboration with the customer’s Automation Partner, who recommended WEG’s MV drive solution, further strengthening the trust in WEG technology and engineering capability.
Beyond the equipment supply, WEG provided engineering and technical support, contributing directly to operational efficiency and manpower optimization on the customer’s side. The integrated solution ensures high performance, reliability, and simplified operation in a critical mining application environment.
