WEG has joined forces with Kronox In-Line Pumps to accelerate the digital transformation of sanitation in Brazil. This partnership led to the development of Elevatória 4.0, an innovative sewage pumping station that integrates WEG Smart Machine (WSM) with Kronox’s In-line solutions, raising the level of automation, remote control, and operational intelligence.

WEG Smart Machine is a cloud computing solution designed to monitor, parameterize, and operate machines in real time, regardless of location. Through WSM, equipment installed even in remote areas or below street level can be fully monitored and controlled remotely, without relying on the physical presence of technicians on site.

Before the implementation of WSM, Kronox faced significant limitations in monitoring the performance of pumps installed at customer sites. Difficult access to pumping stations, monitoring restricted to on-site visits, the absence of automated alerts, and limited internal system visibility made operations slower, more costly, and more prone to failures. Parameter adjustments required frequent travel, and internal issues within pumping wells could only be identified through physical inspection.

With the platform in place, the scenario changed completely. Monitoring is now online and continuous, with real-time status readings and analog level monitoring. Teams can remotely adjust parameters, activate commands at a distance, and even perform visual inspections through cameras installed inside the wells, ensuring full operational visibility. Automated alarms enable rapid response to any anomaly, reducing maintenance time and increasing operational efficiency. As a direct result of this transformation, Kronox achieved a reduction of up to 70% in labor time dedicated to maintenance, optimizing costs, travel, and technical resources.

This new integration also provides data history, remote equipment programming, fast configuration, operational savings, and significant gains in team efficiency.
