WEG announced the signing of a technological cooperation agreement for the development of studies for projects related to off-road electric vehicle ecosystem with the AIZ Group. AIZ is a Brazilian corporation dedicated to the development of equipment ranging from manipulator machines, cranes, amphibious machines, road and agricultural machinery, replacement parts, customized machines, in addition to leasing services for different segments.

The WEG and AIZ partnership combines knowledge and background experiences and joins mutual cooperation efforts for the development and improvement of electric mobility projects for application in vehicles and machinery for commercial/industrial off-road use and operated in logistics systems.

“Upon this technological cooperation with the AIZ Group, we are stepping forward on our strategy of turning the off-road electric mobility a reality in Brazil, serving the entire chain required for this market segment as well,” says Manfred Peter Johann, Managing Director of WEG Automation Business Unit.

Providing new solutions for the improvement of electric vehicle charging stations, generation, supply and storage of clean and renewable energy is also in the scope of this cooperation agreement. The objective is to develop for electrical product’s customers, the possibility of generating their own power supply to allow them to become self-sufficient. “We are promoting mutual cooperation efforts to protect the environment and reduce the use of fossil fuels, allowing strengthening of the Brazilian energy matrix, improve work environment safety and cooperation for development and self-sufficiency of the national industry,” says Alberto Iván Zakidalski, CEO of AIZ Group.
