Promoted annually by SINDINSTALAÇÃO - Union of the Installation Industry, and by ABRINSTAL – The Brazilian Association for Conformity and Efficiency of Installations had their 12th MasterInstal Award ceremony last week in the city of São Paulo. Since 2005, the event recognizes the best jobs performed in the area of installation and qualification of specialized labor force. The companies that stand out in the market are rewarded through the quality of their products and services, innovative solutions, productivity gains and improvement initiatives about water, electricity and gas consumption.

Together with partner companies, WEG was awarded for the supply of equipment for two jobs: the Serendipity Building, located in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina, and the Solar Complex of Angico and Malta, located in the state of Paraíba. As stated by the Sales Director of WEG Automation Division, Paulo Roberto Krüger, "The award is an important recognition for the quality and reliability of WEG solutions, which guarantee safe operation of the systems/."

In charge of the entire electrical design of Serendipity Building, Franzmann Engineering Company relied on WEG's solutions to build up the building's main power supply circuit. Dry transformer and medium voltage circuit breaker for power input were provided, as well as shielded busbars in place of cables, which significantly reduce the space allocated to the building's electrical infrastructure, besides the required installation time.

WEG was also awarded Key Supplier for the solar complex of Angico and Malta, developed in partnership with Proton Energy and GTEL. The plant has a total installed power capacity of 63 MW and features innovations in quality, compliance and sustainability in the facilities, providing construction methods improvements and compliance testing for installations.

In addition to strengthening its commitment to its partners, the award is evidence of the continued growth of WEG in the areas of infrastructure and renewable energy. "We are constantly expanding our portfolio of solutions to serve new markets, always seeking to offer innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers," said Manfred Peter Johann, Managing Director of WEG Automation Division.
