En 2024, WEG a reçu la Médaille d'Or d'Ecovadis, l'une des principales agences mondiales de notation en matière de gestion du développement durable des entreprises.
Lors du dernier cycle d'évaluation du CDP, WEG a été évaluée comme entreprise « Leader » dans CDP Clima, obtenant la note A-. Le CDP est le leader mondial dans la classification de la gestion de la décarbonation des entreprises, utilisé comme référence par d'autres entités telles que l'ISE- Indice B3, entre autres.
WEG a été classé comme à faible risque par Sustainalytics, qui mesure la performance de l'entreprise au moyen de recherches et de données ESG. L'analyse se concentre sur le risque ESG : plus la note est faible, plus le risque présenté par l'entreprise est faible.
