João Paulo Gualberto da Silva

Vice President of Energy

João Paulo Gualberto da Silva holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC) and a postgraduate in International Business from Univille, in Joinville, Santa Catarina. He also has the Advanced Leadership course, conducted by the Georgia Tech College of Management in Atlanta, United States.

His career includes experiences as a member of the Motors and Generators Committee of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association in Washington, United States, and as a postgraduate lecturer in the Renewable Energy program at Universidade Sociedade Educacional de Santa Catarina (UNISOCIESC). Currently, he's a member of the Wind Board of Associação Brasileira da Indústria de Máquinas e Equipamentos (ABIMAQ).

 

At WEG since 1990, his career began as a sales analyst and he became head of the sales in Brazil. Over time, assumed the position of sales analyst in the United States. In 2007, he became manager and vice president of US Sales. Back in Brazil, was New Energies managing director (wind and solar) and he’s currently Vice president of Energy.

Currently, he’s a postgraduate lecturer in the Renewable Energy program at SENAI. In Santa Catarina, Brazil.
