WEG was the winner of the "Companies Plus" award offered by financial newspaper Estadão. In addition to Machinery and Equipment sector, the company took the title of company that most positively impacted the Brazilian market, according to research conducted by Austin Rating, Foundation Institute of Administration (FIA) and Estadão.

Listing Brazilian companies with the best results in 22 sectors, the Ranking takes into account economic performance and best management practices, based on criteria predetermined by the technical evaluation team. A total of 1500 companies were analyzed from all regions of the country.

If fact, it is an important consideration for the Brazilian industry, for the technology developed in Brazil and for the technological innovation that we can send out to the world. From the R$ 9.5 billion revenues in 2016, 57% came from businesses operations WEG holds outside Brazil, which is a result of our technological strength that involves state-of-the-art engineering, high efficiency and added value products , in addition to a team of over 29 thousand employees around the world”, says Harry.

The award ceremony was held at Petra House in São Paulo on September 14, 2017 and was attended by the Minister of Finance of Brazil, Mr. Henrique Meireles.
