With more than 25 years of history, Móveis Videira is a reference in the furniture industry of Serra Gaúcha for its innovative and high-quality solutions. As part of its commitment to modernization and sustainability, the company invested in upgrading the exhaust systems of its plant in Garibaldi (RS). The initiative, carried out in partnership with WEG and Rossler (energy efficiency integrator), included replacing old motors with high-efficiency W22 Super Premium motors, driven by CFW500 frequency inverters. This modernization also promoted the digitalization of operations, enabling greater control, automation, and real-time monitoring of filter operations.

Performance and sustainability for the bag filter system

The solution was applied to the exhaust systems in the Cutting I, Cutting II, Edge, and Drilling areas, focusing on automating the operation of bag filters responsible for filtering and collecting particles in the factory environment. The technology allows motors to operate according to the actual process demand, resulting in significant operational gains and higher energy efficiency.

Key benefits include:

  • Average 32% reduction in electricity consumption;
  • Increased lifespan of filter bags, reducing corrective maintenance and machine downtime;
  • Reduction in CO₂ emissions, with a positive impact on operational sustainability;
  • System monitoring, providing agility and real-time control.

A solution aligned with digitalization and industrial efficiency

The new system allows dynamic adjustment of motor operating speed based on filter pressure, avoiding unnecessary strain and improving maintenance predictability. As a result, Móveis Videira now operates with a smarter, more economical, and sustainable model.

The implemented solution and achieved gains represent a milestone for WEG in the furniture sector, demonstrating in practice how intelligent automation can generate savings, reliability, and sustainability for the industry.
