WEG announces a series of exclusive activations during COP30, in Belém, in partnership with Voice of the Oceans, a Brazilian global-impact initiative led by the Schurmann Family that promotes ocean protection and recovery through science, education, and innovation.

As part of this partnership, the initiative will occupy the iconic “Casa das Onze Janelas,” transformed into the Casa Vozes do Oceano (“Voices of the Ocean House”) during the event. The space, free and open to the public, will feature an immersive exhibition supported by WEG, as well as artistic installations that invite visitors to reflect on the planet’s future and the environmental challenges we face.

WEG’s participation in COP30 goes beyond supporting the exhibition. The company will also play a leading role in the energy transition agenda, presenting case studies and solutions in thematic panels that reflect its sustainability strategy based on four pillars: energy efficiency, operational efficiency, renewable energies, and electric mobility.

This journey begins even before the official opening of COP30. Onboard the sailboats Kat and Aysso, which are part of the Voice of the Oceans mission, WEG will showcase sustainable onboard solutions, contributing with clean and efficient technologies that support conscious navigation. The sustainable sailboat Kat will arrive in Belém in early November and will be docked at the pier of Casa das Onze Janelas, welcoming visitors at scheduled times for guided and interactive experiences.

Institutional Presence and Impact at COP30

WEG’s participation at COP30 reinforces its commitment to sustainability and innovation. The company acts as Co-Chair of the SBCOP – COP Energy Transition Working Group, an initiative led by CNI that brings together national and international organizations to strengthen the role of the productive sector in climate discussions. WEG is represented by Daniel Godinho, Director of Sustainability and Institutional Relations.

Among the program highlights, WEG will present the ATAIC case — a community-based agroindustry in the Amazon operating 100% on clean energy (solar + BESS batteries) in partnership with Natura. The project promotes a reduction in diesel use, lower costs and carbon emissions, and positive social and economic impact for riverside communities.

The company will also participate in the “Virada Sustentável” initiative, with the Boat of Hope, which will sail from Manaus to Belém between November 4 and 7, docking at COP30 from November 10 to 21. The vessel will host 250 guests, including business leaders, experts, public sector representatives, and civil society, to discuss environmental preservation and the energy transition.
