WEG has taken another decisive step in expanding its international footprint by signing binding agreements to acquire Sanelec Excitation Systems, a well-established Indian manufacturer of voltage regulators and excitation control systems.

Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Bangalore, Sanelec brings more than two decades of engineering expertise in designing and manufacturing automatic voltage regulators for generators, synchronous motors, and excitation systems for power generation. The company has long served as the exclusive partner of REIVAX – part of the WEG Group – in the Indian market, making this acquisition a natural progression of an already strong collaboration.

The integration aims to strengthen REIVAX’s international presence, enhance support for its existing customers, and expand its reach in global markets for power generation control solutions.

The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions. Once completed, it will further solidify the position of WEG and REIVAX as leading providers of advanced, reliable, and innovative control technologies in the energy sector.

A forward-looking move fully aligned with WEG’s vision of continuous innovation and global growth.
