On September 10 and 11, 2025, WEG held another edition of WINS Connect, an internal innovation workshop in hackathon format that gathered 30 employees from different areas of the company. Over two days of collaborative work, participants co-created solutions and prototypes focused on sustainability, circular economy, responsible use of resources, and sustainable materials. The event was organized in partnership between the Sustainability Department and the Innovation Management Section and was attended by company directors. Proposals were evaluated by a panel of leaders aligned with the themes of innovation and sustainability.

Throughout the event, teams identified real challenges faced by the company and developed applicable solutions in areas such as reducing the environmental impact of raw material use, extending product lifespan, reverse logistics, process digitalization, and the creation of new business models. The program included specialized mentoring, hypothesis validation, and final presentations to the evaluation panel, which assessed the technical feasibility and potential for implementation of the proposals.

Highlights included projects focused on achieving practical results in the short and medium term, prioritizing initiatives with the potential to be transformed into pilots integrated with WEG’s strategic projects. As a follow-up, selected proposals will move forward to incubation, with defined metrics to measure environmental and economic impact. Monitoring will be carried out by responsible leaders, ensuring alignment with the company’s priorities.

WINS Connect 2025 reinforces WEG’s commitment to turning challenges into business opportunities, strengthening its internal culture of innovation, and placing sustainability and circular economy at the center of new product, service, and process development—fully aligned with the company’s purpose of contributing to a more efficient and sustainable world.
