During the inauguration ceremony that took place on May 25th, Eufemio Jiménez President of Voltran and Décio da Silva Corporate President of the WEG Group, celebrated this partnership along with employees, official authorities, customers, suppliers and friends.
Present at the ceremony were German Montoya, Voltran General Director; Mauro Mendes, WEG Mexico General Director; Carlos Prinz, WEG Transformadores Sales Manager; Pablo Realpozo, FIDE General Director and Enrique Rueske, President of CANAME; among others. "We would like to thank everyone who shared with us this outstanding moment for WEG and Voltran history", said Decio da Silva, CEO and President of WEG.
The beginning of this partnership was started at WEG headquarters in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil, when Eufemio Jiménez and Décio da Silva met for the first time and came to a conclusion that the philosophy and development of both companies was based on its people who believe in the same values and ideals. Empathy was immediate on a personal and professional level, which has resulted in this alliance, joining much more than two companies. With this partnership, a continuous expansion policy is strengthened, resulting in creating new jobs, complete solutions to our customers, greater business opportunities for our suppliers along with professional development opportunities for our employees.
With a short history in the country that started in the 80's, WEG fully believes in Mexico. The acquisition of ABB motor division in 2000, Mabe Motors in 2003, the construction of the new plant in 2004 and now this strategic alliance with Voltran proves WEG´s commitment to the Mexican market.
