WEG was recognized in New York for its contribution to strengthening economic and industrial relations between Brazil and the United States. The award was jointly presented by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce during the Brazil–U.S. Industry Day, an event that is part of the Brazil Week program and brings together business leaders, investors, and institutional representatives from both countries.

The initiative recognizes companies that stand out for their positive impact on the bilateral economy through investments, job creation, innovation, and the integration of production chains between Brazil and the United States. According to Daniel Godinho, WEG’s Vice President of Sustainability and Institutional Relations, the recognition reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to economic development in both countries.

Receiving this award from two highly respected institutions such as the CNI and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is a recognition that greatly honors us. WEG has been operating in the United States for decades, where we have 10 manufacturing sites and 2,250 employees. Our products and solutions drive the competitiveness of the industry and the country’s energy infrastructure, strengthening trade relations and productive integration between the two countries,” said Godinho.

With a strong global presence, WEG serves more than 135 countries, operates 68 manufacturing sites across 18 countries, and offers solutions throughout the entire energy chain, from generation to end consumption.

In the United States, WEG employs more than 2,250 people across 10 manufacturing sites and 9 distribution centers, generating qualified jobs and contributing directly to strengthening the country’s industrial supply chain and energy infrastructure.
