WEG’s branch in Ecuador has completed a major supply of motors and automation systems to integrator SISELEC, part of the INPROEL Group, for shrimp farms (facilities specialized in shrimp cultivation). Although the project was developed for an important customer in the shrimp farming sector, the implementation reflects the company’s commitment to high energy-efficiency solutions for the industry.

The supplied package included 250 HP and 400 HP W22 line motors with double shaft, in addition to 250 HP / 480A SSW900 soft-starters, fuses, HMI, and communication modules. The equipment will be coupled to pumps responsible for ensuring water supply and optimal conditions within the facilities.

The supply was carried out through partial shipments to prioritize the automation equipment, with the full delivery of motors completed in May 2025. This operation strengthens WEG’s installed base in the shrimp farming sector and allows the end user to replace diesel motors with electric ones, achieving energy efficiency and reduced maintenance.

This supply represents a significant step in the electrification of the shrimp farming industry, highlighting the company’s ability to provide comprehensive WEGmotion Drives solutions that combine advanced technology and efficiency. The collaboration with SISELEC reaffirms WEG’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in every project.
