The completely isolated bottle with a high vacuum rate contains the fixed and mobile contacts. The electric arc begins at the moment the contacts separate and, thanks to the structure where these contacts are, it is easily extinguished.
The excellent isolation inside the bottle prevents the loss of the vacuum, thus minimizing the wear of the contacts in case of short circuit, and also efficiently reducing the energy generated by the arc.
