About this Product

With the growing demand for renewable energies, the power factor correction process in the presence of generating units becomes more complex and, therefore, requires higher and higher precision. In the photovoltaic generation, which today integrates installations of all sizes, the electric energy utility company makes measurements in 4 quadrants, where both the lack and excess of reactive energy from capacitors at any time can cause the billing of reactive power.

Due to this requirement, the BCWA Automatic Capacitor Bank, unlike conventional banks, accurately addresses the complexity arising from generating units.

The internal composition contains the following products:

 

Heavy Duty Three-Phase Capacitors - UCWT HD

The bank stages are optimally configured so that they can meet the best distribution of reactive power that the electrical system demands. In this way, a fine tuning of reactive power is obtained, thus avoiding the lack or excess of capacitors and the consequent billing of reactive power.

Power Factor Controller - PFW03

Modern controller that provides great flexibility in configurations, measurements of important quantities for power factor correction and energy analysis, including harmonic distortions of higher orders and communication port.

AGW molded-case circuit breakers

Designed for general and stage protection, reducing the need for spare parts, such as fuses, providing practical operation, and allowing the incorporation of accessories for signaling, tripping and remote control.

CWB Contactors

In AC-6b duty, they are capable to switch capacitors with the necessary robustness to withstand the in-rush currents of the application.
