WEG Distribution and Control Switchgear are assembled and tested at the factory for voltages from 2.3 kV to 36 kV and developed to meet the strict national and international standards NBR IEC 62271 - 200 without losing their convenient assembly and maintenance features, as well as the flexibility to adapt to the different characteristics required by the market.

WEG MTW medium voltage Distribution and Control Switchgear
are manufactured with steel plate sections, totally closed
with metal sheets, which undergo the processes of alkaline
degrease, phosphate conversion coating and powder coating.
They have overpressure breathers on top and side that enable
pressure relief in case of an internal arc. The main busbars
are composed of one or more rectangular electrolytic copper
bars with tinned connections and sized to withstand the
thermal and dynamic stresses.
The low-voltage compartment is located in the upper front
part. Featuring its own door with fast lock, this compartment
houses the measurement instruments, protection, terminals,
thermostats, auxiliary contactors, etc., and it is completely
separate from the medium voltage compartment by means of a
steel plate.
