• Beaches – Piçarras, Penha, Balneário Camboriú and Bombinhas, all in the north of Santa Catarina and easily reached travelling the BR-101 toll road, are famous for the beautiful beaches and lush nature. Further south, Florianópolis offers more than 40 beaches, sure to suit almost any preference, including some of Brazil’s best surf breaks.
• Typical Food – given its European colonization traditions, particularly from Germany, the region is rich in culinary options.
