The leader in auditing and consulting services, Ernst & Young (EY) announced the winners of the 23rd edition of the Entrepreneur of the Year Brazil Program, an online event held last Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in partnership with Forbes.

During the award ceremony, representatives of five categories were announced. WEG´s Chairman of the Board, Décio da Silva, was the winner in the Family Enterprise category, representing successful family companies in the market they do business, with emphasis to the management generating positive impact on the business and on the community.

Receiving this nomination makes all of the members of the Silva, Werninghaus and Voigt families very honored and proud. We want to dedicate this award to the three founders of the Company, Mr. Eggon, Mr. Werner and Mr. Geraldo. The Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) program celebrates 35 years at EY global and has been held for 23 years in Brazil, always intending to recognize innovative leaders who have been transforming markets and generating positive impacts on the community.
