A petrochemical refinery in Brazil is turning up the steam to meet increased domestic demand by becoming the first crude oil refinery to be entirely built with Brazilian technology. This includes WEG motors at the heart of one of their core processes.
WEG successfully commissioned the longest VSD-driven material handling solution in Africa for Anglo Thermal’s Zibulo Coal Mine near Witbank in Mpumalanga.
Meeting the ever increasing global demand for materials and energy requires a two-part strategy, comprising the opening of new mines, and increasing productivity at existing plants. In both cases, meeting demand means providing good quality ore, in quantity and in a timely manner to maximise process performance.
