Outstanding performance in the oil industry
Leading entities in the oil industry have recognized professionals in Brazilian industry with awards for outstanding performance in 2009 . WEG’s Décio da Silva was honored in the Capital Assets category.
The President of the Board of Directors of WEG, Décio da Silva, was awarded the prize for “Outstanding Professional of the Oil and Gas Industry of 2009”, in the category Excellence in Capital Assets.
Mr da Silva, President of the Board of Directors of WEG, was awarded the prize for “Outstanding Professional of the Oil and Gas Industry of 2009”, in the category ‘Excellence in Capital Assets’.
Organized by IBP - Instituto Brasileiro de Petróleo (Brazilian Oil Institute) together with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and ONIP - Organização Nacional da Indústria de Petróleo (National Organization of the Oil Industry), the purpose of the awards is to acknowledge the most outstanding professionals active in the oil sector throughout the year.
“This award is the result of all the planning, action, and investment that WEG has made in the Oil and Gas segment,” said Décio da Silva. For Mr da Silva, the award confirms that WEG is on the right path in the oil sector, and is well prepared to face any challenges in this market.
The award process was overseen by associates of the three organising bodies, who chose the winners across a total of five categories: Technical Excellence, Degree in Human Resources, Service Rendering, Capital Assets and Business Excellence.
